Royal Parks visitor research reports 2017–18

Whether you’re visiting a Royal Park to spend a few hours in the open air, to meet up with friends, or to discover more about our heritage, we want you to have the best possible experience when you visit. Our most recent visitor research reports indicated a high satisfaction rate among visitors:  

96% of all respondents rate the overall quality, safety and cleanliness of the Royal Parks as excellent or good: 

• 94% rate the quality of the natural environment as excellent or good 
• 91% rate the tidiness and cleanliness of the parks as excellent or good
• 99% of visitors feel very or quite safe in the parks

How do we use the results of our visitor research?

Understanding what you enjoy about the parks and what would help you get even more out of a visit is invaluable to us. It’s our responsibility to look after the parks as sustainably as possible and we set ourselves the highest standards. Your feedback matters. It helps us plan more effectively, manage our resources sustainably and balance the needs of our visitors with sensitive conservation of the wildlife and habitats of the parks themselves. 

How does your park rate?

Conducted by leading research company Ipsos MORI, our research interviews took place between August 2017 and September 2018. Researchers spoke to 2,787 park visitors, selected at random, while they were visiting the parks. You can download the full reports below.
